Goodwyn Hall, Auburn University at Montgomery
Hardy Corporation teamed with Hardy Services on a Guaranteed Savings Performance Contract to convert the air handling systems from constant volume reheat to variable air volume in this three-story, 25-year old classroom building. Classes continued uninterrupted throughout construction. Additional work included replacing an 800 ton centrifugal chiller, converting AUM’s campus-wide steam system to individual hot water boilers for each building, and installing a campus-wide direct digital control system. The project resulted in significant energy savings and won a 2001 Energy Efficient Building Award.
